Green Transition Advisory

Green transition is not a one-off project — it is an organisational capability that must be built for the long term. GROW's team of experts walks the journey with each SME, offering solutions tailored to its size and sector.

Summary

GROW's Green Transition Advisory service covers: ESG materiality assessment, emissions inventory to ISO 14064-1, a Net Zero roadmap aligned with SBTi, circular economy programme design, and sustainability reporting to GRI for SMEs. Costs are optimised through a flexible pool-of-experts model and the network's shared software.

The GROW Green Pathway methodology

GROW Green Pathway is a four-phase methodology: (1) Materiality Assessment — identifying material ESG topics, (2) Baseline — inventorying the current state, (3) Roadmap — a plan to cut emissions and improve the S and G dimensions, and (4) Report & Improve — reporting and continuous improvement. Each phase comes with clear tools, templates and deliverables.

The methodology adapts international standards (GRI, SASB, TCFD, GHG Protocol) to the operating realities of Vietnamese SMEs: raw data, limited resources, and staff wearing multiple hats. The focus is on generating clean data and taking substantive action, not producing a perfect report on paper.

Standard advisory packages

Green Start package (VND 80–120 million): a preliminary ESG assessment, a Scope 1–2 GHG inventory, and a concise 12-page report. Suited to SMEs with fewer than 100 employees.

Green Pathway package (VND 220–380 million): the full four phases, including SBTi targets and a GRI for SMEs report. Suited to businesses with 100–500 employees.

Green Enterprise package (from VND 600 million): integrated ESG-ERP deployment, a supplier engagement programme, and reporting to CSRD/TCFD.

Typical results

Businesses that adopt GROW Green Pathway achieve, on average, a 28–40% reduction in emissions intensity after 18 months, save 18–25% on energy costs, and improve their international-customer ratings (EcoVadis, Higg Index) by 1–2 tiers.

Frequently asked questions

How does an SME with no baseline data get started?

GROW offers the Green Start package to build a baseline in 8–12 weeks, focusing on Scope 1–2 and core policies. That data then becomes the foundation for every subsequent step.

Can GROW's advisory replace an in-house ESG team?

No, and we do not recommend it. GROW works alongside you to build internal capability and train your company's ESG Officer — so the business can run on its own after 12–18 months.

How long does a typical green roadmap take to implement?

A standard roadmap runs 10–14 months from assessment to the first report. After that, it moves into an annual improvement cycle.
